Support Service

The Transformation Support Service has been setup to offer Educational Institutions with bespoke support to help them to evolve their learning, teaching and assessment practices in line with Institutional Strategy and Policy. The Service offered is customised based on Institutional needs and priorities. These are established in discussion with you during an initial visit with a member of our Support Team.

The following themes provide an example of the types of support we can offer.

If you would like to know more please complete the enquiry form

Theme 1
Strategy and Policy

We will assign a senior member of our Support Team who will work with Senior Managers at a strategic level to help them evaluate the extent to which learning, teaching and assessment and e-learning strategies and policies are impacting on the quality of learning and teaching in their Institutions.

Working through established networks both in Higher and Further Education, we are experienced in advising Senior Managers on national policies, initiatives, current research, practices and developments that might inform future strategies designed to bring desired changes to learning, teaching and assessment practice. Our Support Team members have worked in Educational Institutions at senior levels and have experience of writing, implementing and evaluating innovative strategies that have resulted in significant changes to Institutional Learning and Teaching Practices.

Theme 2
Engaging Practitioners

We will assign members of our Support Team who are experienced in engaging, enthusing and supporting teaching practitioners and other learner support professionals to introduce new learning, teaching and assessment methods to their practices.

Members of our Support Team have worked successfully to bring about change in learning, teaching and assessment practice at an operational level within their own Institutions. They are experienced in working with staff development teams, central learning and teaching support teams and directly with practitioners to set up communities of practice, organise activities, workshops and other events designed to encourage staff to think differently about their practices and introduce and demonstrate how new technologies can be used effectively to enhance the quality of the learner experience.

Our team has expertise in designing Induction programmes that introduce new staff to preferred learning, teaching and assessment practices. We can also provide advice and guidance on the professional development and mentoring support needed as staff start to introduce new approaches to their practices.

Theme 3
Engaging Learners

We will assign members of our Support Team who have experience of working directly with learners. Our team has expertise in designing activities that expand learners’ knowledge, understanding and learning skills so that they can learn effectively and take more responsibility for their learning within new physical and virtual learning environments.

We also have experience in working with Institutions to help develop strategies and mechanisms that encourage and develop learners to participate more effectively in Institutional quality enhancement systems and processes using self evaluation and reflection.
