outlines 2 examples of innovative induction programmes. The
MSc Educational Psychology provides an extended induction programme
which supports the transformation of traditional modules into
problem-based blended learning using a social constructivist
approach. The School of Law uses a blended approach
involving the VLE, bespoke training sessions,
and learning action plans, with the ultimate aims of the induction
programme being to better prepare students to plan and reflect
on the learning, and to see technology as a natural part of
their environment. |

outlines the ‘Glasgow Model’ of IT Literacy provision.
The model offered a learner-centred and highly flexible approach
to the delivery of generic skills, mixing different routes
to IT certification according to an individual learner’s
needs and preferences, including both central provision and
