About

The Transform website is aimed at managers, practitioners, and staff developers in FE and HE educational institutions who are interested in good, forward-thinking teaching practice that is underpinned by appropriate uses of current and emerging technologies, and which can help our institutions pro-actively respond to the challenges they face in our rapidly changing education sector.

The Transform website has grown out of the cross-institutional TESEP (Transforming and Enhancing the Student Experience through Pedagogy) project that was undertaken by Edinburgh’s Telford College, Lauder College, and Napier University, and which focused on teaching, technology and institutional transformation.

"The big success of TESEP is that it's demonstrated that you can drive institutional transformation from a pedagogic perspective"
Andrew Comrie, Director of TESEP

In this website you can read about the need for change in how we think about and approach teaching practice, including the very real benefits it can bring to learners, tutors, and ultimately our institutions.  Real stories of personal and institutional transformation from within the original TESEP partner institutions and elsewhere are available to explore, alongside a range of useful tools, resources and illustrative exemplars that are offered for your own use.

In addition to the resources currently provided here, from September 2007 the TESEP partner institutions will be offering a Transformation Support Service to those in the wider sector who may wish to benefit from the knowledge and experience of the TESEP project team in taking transformation forward in their own institution. You can read about the Transformation Support Service here, and register your initial interest in exploring the range of ways it could work with you.

In conjunction with the introduction of the Support Service, the Think Tank area of the website will be launced to provide practitioners, staff developers and other professionals in FE and HE with a place to share experiences, ideas and resources in the areas of teaching, technology and transformation.
