This illustration shows how citations in the main text match the fuller details in the reference list at the end. This example shows a reference to a chapter in a book:

  • In the text: (Smith, 2005)
  • In the reference list: Smith, A. (2005).  E-something.  In Black, A. & White, B. (Eds.), An Introduction To Something, 30-52.  Edinburgh: Textbook.
