- Main section and home links are always in upper banner.
- Every page includes a crumb trail navigation at the top.

Student comments
Each section includes advice and comments from recent university

Use of graphics and media
- The graphics in this site are designed to support and communicate
content without distracting.
- So that they make sense in non-visual browsers, all content
images have alternative text.
- In a few places we use graphic links, and in this case the
"title" attribute of the image describes the link.
- We provide alternative text content for all detailed graphics
and embedded media.
- More detailed images and diagrams include a "long description". You can access these by clicking on the [D]
link next to the image.
Use of Flash
- Some parts of this site use Adobe Flash, for example for interactive
diagrams and self-test activities.
- You can access a text version of the current activity by clicking on the [T] link next to the activity.
- Use the [W] link to open the current activity
in a new window, if you need to enlarge the view, or to navigate
the activity using the keyboard.
Text and layout
- This site uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to format text and
layout. You can override this with a custom style sheet if you wish.
- All text content is structured using <h1>, <h2>,
<h3>.
- You can resize text in your browser. Go to View > Text
size in Internet Explorer, or View > Text Zoom in
Netscape.
- Any tables used only for layout have empty 'summary' attributes,
and no table or column headers.
- In data or listing tables, table
summaries describe content and table headers describe column contents.
