Subjects to study

Regardless of the modules you study the first week of the programme is always dedicated to online induction and introductory activities. These are designed to prepare you for studying fully online with opportunities to meet and greet your peers and tutors in what will then become your learning community.

Completion of the above modules would allow you to exit the programme with a PGCert Blended and Online Education.

To study for a PGDip you will then study three further modules. These should make up 60 credits at SCQF level 11:

Unless you already have previous qualifications or experience in educational research, then to help prepare you for the MSc dissertation one of your three module options at the diploma level will include:

In addition to the above, and to exit with the MSc BOE, you will then complete a 60 credit dissertation researching a suitable area of your own choice (and which can involve pure research, or a developmental project)

See the Qualifications section for further information about how the credit from each module builds into a qualification.
