Screen Academy Scotland - Fees and Funding

The GARRICK Scholarship for International Students

The GARRICK Scholarship was established in 2007 by a generous supporter and adviser to Napier University, to enable an exceptional student from overseas to develop their talent at Screen Academy Scotland.

One scholarship is available per year for International Postgraduate students, to cover full tuition fees for the MA Screen Project Development or MA Screenwriting, or half fees on the MFA Film Practice at Napier University's Screen Academy Scotland.

In order to be considered for the Garrick Scholarship you must have applied and been accepted to one of the Screen Academy Scotland postgraduate courses.

Process for Awarding the Garrick Scholarship

  • Students apply to Screen Academy Scotland as normal (please see Courses ) in time for closing date of 30th June 2010.
  • Applications are assessed by Screen Academy Scotland and applicants are informed if they have been accepted onto their course
  • Applicants who are accepted onto a course are eligible for information on scholarships and bursaries available to Screen Academy Scotland students
  • Screen Academy Scotland identifies which of the International Students they would recommend as recipients of the Garrick Scholarship, based on:

-the quality of the application and if the applicant has potential to excel in their course

-financial need of the student (if money is a barrier to them taking up a place on the course)
